PCT trains operators able to deliver high productivity in safe conditions. We focus on technical skills and competences as well as attitudes and soft skills. All PCT trainings are as much as possible
practical. Theory and class room training is limited to the minimum.
PCT has certified trainers that can assist terminal operators with the selection, development and
assessment of port operators.
Also crucial is that there is regular follow up after the training. Wrong or bad habits due to lack of experience of the operator may slip in and be passed on to the new operators that are going to be trained by the first operators that have received formal training.
Training but also regular follow up by experienced trainers that are preferably not part of the internal organisation are also an important pillar for achieving high productivity.
PCT offers training for all kind of heavy equipment operators both for container as well as general cargo and bulk terminals:
Equipment operators: ship to shore, mobile harbour crane, RTG, ECH, reach stacker
Multiskilled Dockers: tally, foremen, signal men, lashers, …
Breakbulk, Out of Gauge, project cargo…: It is important to move a load safely and efficiently, which requires knowledge, skills and discipline. To attach a load, knowledge of the lifting equipment and tools is necessary.
